Organic molecules for cosmetics:
- 2,4,2',4'-TETRAHYDROXYCHALCONE: This is a chemical compound belonging to the chalcone family. Chalcones are natural compounds with a 1,3-diphenyl-2-propen-1-one structure, and are characterized by their biological activity, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiproliferative properties. The presence of four hydroxyl groups (-OH) in its structure suggests high antioxidant capacity.
- 4-PRENYL OXYRESVERATROL: This compound is a derivative of resveratrol, with a prenyl group added at position 4. The prenyl group is an isoprenoid group that modifies the properties of resveratrol, possibly improving its bioavailability or biological activity. The presence of the "oxy" group indicates an additional modification in the resveratrol structure, although more information would be needed to specify exactly what kind of modification it is.
- 4-PRENYL RESVERATROL: Similar to the previous one, this is another resveratrol derivative with a prenyl group at position 4. The difference from 4-prenyl oxyresveratrol lies in the absence of the "oxy" modification in the molecule. The addition of the prenyl group can affect the pharmacological activity and absorption of resveratrol.
- ISOBAVACHALCONE: This compound is a specific chalcone, a type of naturally occurring phenolic compound found in various plants. Its structure and biological activity are similar to other chalcones, but its exact characteristics will depend on its specific molecular structure.
- MORACHALCONE A: This is a specific chalcone with biological properties that could include antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, or antimicrobial activity. The "A" indicates that it is a specific member of a family of related compounds, the morachalcones. The biological activity of this compound may vary depending on its structure.
- MORACIN C: This belongs to a family of compounds called moracins, found in plants of the genus Morus (mulberries). Its chemical structure and, therefore, its biological properties, are specific and differ from other moracins such as moracin M.
- MORACIN M: Similar to Moracin C, this is another moracin specific to Morus plants. Moracins are known for their potential health benefits, including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The difference in the letter (M vs C) indicates variations in its molecular structure.
- OXYRESVERATROL: This compound is a derivative of resveratrol and is characterized by the presence of an additional hydroxyl group in its structure compared to resveratrol. This modification can influence its biological properties, such as its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity.
