INNOVACEF X: When Entrepreneurship Meets Academia

The X Concurso INNOVACEF de Emprendimiento e Intraemprendimiento Científico, jointly organised by CEF.- UDIMA and the Colegio de Economistas de Madrid, celebrated its tenth edition this April with an award ceremony on 22 April 2026. Now a well-established fixture in Spain's innovation calendar, the competition recognises outstanding entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial projects across fields including technology, education, industry, and social impact.

This year's winners brought forward projects of remarkable breadth and ambition, from AI applications in education and inclusive technology for people with disabilities, to software development consultancy and defence-sector innovation. Each winner receives not only formal recognition but also enrollment in a specialised 6-ECTS entrepreneurship training programme delivered in collaboration with CEF.- UDIMA faculty.

Our Connection to INNOVACEF

Juan Casado Vela, CEO of KnowTransfer, has been invited to contribute as an expert in innovation and technology transfer to the specialised training programme that accompanies the award. It is a natural collaboration: the kind of work INNOVACEF champions, turning rigorous ideas into real-world ventures, sits at the heart of what KnowTransfer does. We are glad to bring our experience to a programme that has spent a decade doing exactly that, and we look forward to working alongside this year's exceptional cohort of winners.
