It consists on CE-marked test, using in vitro diagnostic tool that leverages nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to provide a detailed, quantitative characterization of lipoprotein particles, including their size, number, and subclass distribution across the main lipoprotein classes: VLDL, LDL, and HDL.

Unlike conventional lipid panels that measure only total cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations, Liposcale offers advanced lipoprotein profiling that enables clinicians and researchers to gain a deeper understanding of a patient’s cardiovascular and metabolic risk profile.

This includes the quantification of small dense LDL particles and other parameters associated with atherosclerotic risk and insulin resistance, which are often overlooked in routine clinical testing.
